The Mural

Popped up to school this afternoon to photograph the team at work on the new mural.

It's looking marvellous.

This is Jenny, putting the finishing touches to a kookaburra.  She's in charge of, and conceived the project, tho she's very modest about her part in it.

The children painted the local flora and fauna and their paintings are being translated onto the wall by a team of talented parents.
I love the fact that they recognise and point out their contributions, and are very excited to watch it grow.

I have to admit to being a bit skeptical initially.
I think it often happens that someone says, That's a dreadful cream wall. Let's cover it with a mural. Anything would be better than that.' And it often isn't.

But this is stunning.
Another example of the talent, spirit  and energy of the Blackheath community.
