West Dean, West Sussex
Walked to the arboretum at West Dean this afternoon in glorious sunshine. West Dean College is known for its conservation skills and courses as well as making new works of art, from tapestry to musical instruments. It has beautiful gardens and longer walks too.
Lovely views, parkland, amazing tree bark, but the photo that won the day was - the tearoom ceiling! The tearoom used to be the stables and they made a good job of the conversion. No one batted an eyelid when I put my camera flat on the table to take the ornate plaster ceiling and chandelier. Perhaps blippers are everywhere now ?
