Despite the warm & hazy afternoon, the morning in Loughborough was foggy and cold. We popped into town to get some pre-sowed vegetables from the market, and this box of artichokes grabbed my attention. Their purple leaves looked so alien amongst the boxes of green vegetables that surrounded them.

We're heading into Loughborough town for belated birthday drinks, and I guess goodbye drinks for a good friend who's moving to London in a few weeks. Lucky bugger.
