Away Days
Went up to Gloucester today for my first Exeter Chiefs away match, good banter during the first half made even better by the half time score of 15-3 in Chiefs favour.
The second half was a real test for my nerves, after Exeter scored an early penalty Gloucester went ahead with a penalty and 3 converted tries. With 10 minutes remaining Gloucester were 27-18 ahead, Gareth Steenson (not in the best of form lately) scored a penalty with 8 minutes left, suddenly the belief had returned and with less than a minute on the clock Chiefs got the ball into touch, after an agonizing wait for the television match official Chiefs were awarded the try which Steenson dutifully converted to win the game 28-27.
A great end to the day, chiefs up to 4th place in the league (although not for long with Northampton's current score)
