Harsh lesson in road safety

Went for a bike ride with George while his big brothers were off doing big-brother-things.

We found a few interesting paths to explore, but on the way back we found Bright Eyes here squished on the road. George was both a bit sad and a bit fascinated. I explained it had been hit by a car.

"I hope it wasn't something like a Porsche GT3*," he said. "Too fast."

I suggested that on the contrary, speed would probably have been a kindness.
