Dead duck

So the sun is here and I'm back in shorts.

That unfamiliar buzzing sound turned out to be honey bees on the willow catkins.

The moorhens caught me by surprise by revealing a healthy brood of chicks.

Three different types of butterfly fluttered by.

And the leaves are bursting out.

So time for a bright summery blip.

But then I went out this morning and by the lake was this dead duck, and sadder still a drake has been stood by it all day.
