A trip down memory lane and isthmus

When I was laal lad I used to holiday at my grand parents at Keswick quite a lot.
My grandad was (among many other things) the care taker at Isthmus cottage and I used to go down to the cottage with him occasionally which is situated on the lake shore - great views every direction.

I was in Keswick this afternoon and I had half an hour spare so took scoobs down to the lane leading up to it.
Many years ago there was a refuge tip close by - hard to imagine it nowadays.
