FRANCIS

Football again. This is a lady called Francis who works behind the pie-stall.
This technic is called Chiaroscuro; an Italian word meaning light-dark, or better, light from dark, where the subject is lit by a shaft of light from a single, often unseen source. Caravaggio was a master is this, see his 'The Calling Of St Matthew' or a more dramatic example is El Greco's 'Boy Lighting Candle' For a more modern take see the work of Ridley Scott. It's not that difficult to achieve. First find a window, a subject, then point you're Invercone directly at the light source. If you check the built in light-meter it will tell you you are underexposed, ignore this, trust the incedent light reading, then have fun, and remember to talk to you're subject.
