James Braidwood, the father of the first Municipal Fire Brigade in the world and the brains behind the creation of the London Fire Brigade. Come to think of it, another Scotsman created the Bank of England too.......I could go on and on......

At long last, a statue befitting Braidwood's contribution to the world was unveiled today in Parliament Square, Edinburgh. 100% hero material this lad.

BTW.....hanging on to my job in the face of considerable hostility from some cowardly senior managers. Up the revolution.
