Cake!

Lucky me, I got to attend two birthday parties today. One with Little Man, celebrating the ninth birthday of his good friend form across the street. The other celebrating a birthday of my marvelous pal Rachel. I didn't take many pictures as I was busy partying, but this one was sweet, so I want to share. These are the parents of the birthday boy, enjoying the cake :-) Happy Birthday, young man! :-)

I had a wonderful time at Rachel's celebration. It was at Jilly Bean's Pail of Paint, a paint-your own pottery and glass studio. It was women-only; each of us picked a piece of pottery and painted it. The pieces will be fired for us, and then we can pick them up. It was a blast to meet a bunch of women I've never met before, drink wine/tea, and shoot breeze while engaging in something decisively creative and artistic. Great idea, Rachel :-) I hope you have a wonderful year!!!
