Emergency Department.

Alexandra hurt her leg yesterday morning. She bent down to stroke Neo, and as she went to stand up a pain seared down her leg from her knee. She had to get her Dad to lift her up onto the sofa, because she couldn't straighten her knee.

Typical of Alexandra, she still went to work, and then went to stay at her boyfriend's. This morning, whilst I was at my sister's, she hobbled in, and my sister advised us to get treatment straight away, so I decided to take her to Emergency.

I wasn't looking forward to going to the hospital as it's the first time I've been back there since Christian died, and also I used to spend a lot of time in Emergency with him.

Anyway, when we got in there the department was empty and we got seen quite quickly. Because of her type of injury we were sent to Emergency 2, which I'd never been to. In this department they see people who don't need a bed, so mostly broken limbs, sprains etc.

Anyway, after an examination (with a rather dishy Irish doctor) and an x-ray, it seems she has a tear in her meniscus. So home to rest and to put ice packs on.

Just to the left of this department is the Oncology department, and I saw one of Christian's doctors, what strange timing.
