The Burgh Haze (inspired by Seurat)
A lovely day with the fog melting away to bright sunshine. Headed down to the harbour, where it seems the entire child and teen population of the town were mingling with the pensioners out for a good "sit". I do appreciate a good "sit" myself these days actually..
The air was filled with shrieks as the children egged each other on to dive into the cold and murky harbour water. I dread to think what lurks at the bottom - mostly sump oil probably!
The light had a "washed out" feeling, with the sea and sea indistinguishable from each other. With all the sunbathers and divers lined up on the quayside, it reminded me a little of a Seurat painting, which inspired this shot.
