Cycling the Phoenix Greenways

Remembered the clocks needed to be set one hr forward and drove up to Chesterfield to meet my friend Sarah - she had planned a great cycle trip on the Phoenix Greenway which crosses frequently the border between Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

We are not known for our map reading skills so the first job was finding the start point off Pleaseley Pit Country Park - which has to be the worst place in England for signposting. It was a great bike ride and we stopped 3/4 of the way round at Hardwick Inn for a sneaky corona in the bright sun - didn;t do too much for our cycling on the journey home

Met this amazing couple on the way round she is 89, he is 81, and she has just written a book - must remember to check it out on the internet .......

All in all a lovely day
