Dirleton Castle (1240)
As if the powers-that-be controlled the hour and the weather, summer arrived today once the clocks had sprung forward overnight.
Unfortunately I had to work, but Mrs AB took them to Dirleton Castle for a picnic. On that wee patch of grass above the rocks just below the ramparts. Ladybirds abound.
Later, when I found some time to scrabble around in the garden, between the sounds the neighbour's clarinet practice and the chorus of lawn mowers, I heard a woodpecker in the woods, interested in sex.
