Angel

Up early and took Juno to the allotment, just dumped stuff off and watered the greenhouse.

My pal wanted some breeze block and I had some at the allotment. The garlic is looking great and some of the shallots are coming through. The soil is dry on the surface but holds a bit of moisture deeper down.

Back home and the ladies had a day at the stables organised, off they went with the car. I did some washing and hung out it out in the glorious day.

I took Juno out to my brothers to help dismantle his shed and move stuff to his garage, job done we headed to the stables up the burn. This was a cooling source for Juno.

Alot of activity at the stables, they were practicing their trail riding techniques. This is to get the horses ready for trekking in busy and different places.

Met Mr McGhee for a walk to see the logging horse in the Hermitage. A pleasant walk through the ever changing hermitage. There are felling and various other projects on the go. It all seems too 'managed' and less wild.

Anyway via a wee dog fight over a stick we met the logging horse. Mr McGhee knew the man and his daughter, we chatted for ages. Caitlin has started up a business extracting wood by horse, hope it all work out for Homestead. This is Catlin and Angel taking some logs down a steep slope. They are working in the Hermitage of Braid from next Monday, when 3 horses will be extracting the logs. I have arrnaged a wee cycle to have lunch with them, may even get a chance to help out.

Everyone is now home, eco son had a ball in the hills and has a burnt face. He is away to the hospital to catch up with his pal.
