Hawthorn Shield Bug

Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale

Took my macro lens to the allotment today; the Euphorbias were alive with various flies, beetles and bugs. I made a rather good macro of some kind of fly, but I can't identify it, so the shield bug it is!

M is away tomorrow, but I won't join her for a couple of days :(
