Somme day

Out and about on a beautiful spring day firstly along tracks then lochsides then through forests until I came upon this sommelike sight. I've been doing some WW1 poetry with some students and this sight brought to mind the images that are created in the poems. Bleak images on a beautiful day. Its good to be alive.
