Dolorama

I never used to go to the Dolorama and the rest of my family would probably not be caught dead in the place. I think. Everything there is $1 or $2. A treasure trove of cheap uniquely fascinating objects. I went once out of curiosity and was hooked. Today I needed some basic supplies for work (inexpensive dishes and utensils) and since I did not want to pay much, went to the Dolorama. The place never ceases to amaze me with some of its tackiness and uhmm... creativity. I look in bewilderment at everything and I enjoy that. Big fake stone Buddhas that look like splashed flesh on the ground with a round head, flip-flop-shaped serving dishes, sirene-in-oyster-shell soap dishes, garish colours, the stuff never ends to puzzle me. When I saw these colourful plastic wine glasses in the shape of ???... some Hawaiian Monster-Gods, I took out my camera. Along with the water bottles with one-leg-up flamengos and palm trees, I thought they would make for a very funny summer party on the lawn with a theme of Hawaiian Horror. With plastic one-leg-up pink flamengos sprinkled all over the lawn of course. Maybe in April if the heatwave continues.... ; )

I actually kind of like these glasses for some strange reason. They are unreal!
