Fried....bugs?

Yep. Fried bugs are common in Thailand. You'll see the thai people eat them like potato chips.

I've had a few myself. Some are better than others, I'm not a fan of the cockroaches or grasshoppers because of the legs and wings, but the beetles are not too bad.
