Barred Owl

(last day of camping trip to Lake Kissimmee)
took a little walk in the woods behind our campsite this morning and spotted this owl- we had heard it call earlier. There were a couple rainshowers overnight and in the early morning, and it was still mostly cloudy, which might be why it was still awake, although it half-closed it's eyes a few times while I was snapping photos.
the owl had just scratched it's head with one foot, which is why that foot is still held up in this shot.
