Young Green Wood-hoopoe

The Green Wood-hoopoe (Phoeniculus purpureus), is a very common bird in our garden.
Found this youngster perched on top of a derelict nesting log, while some adult birds were perched in another part of same tree.
In the past week there has been a lot of activity around this tree, and a few days ago had 8 adults foraging on our lawn and continually flying up into the tree obviously to feed this young chap.
Do not know whether they actually nested in this log, as I assumed it was long past its use by date.
