In the Summertime
Something of a novelty having a lovely sunny and warm day for the first day of British Summer Time.
We got up late in our house - we must have needed the sleep!
I had a very nice 12 mile bike ride to watch the Sport Relief Mile at Lytham. But as the crowds grew so did my panic and anxiety. So I left before it got too much for me.
Once I got home I did a few little jobs around the garden then gor the sunlounger out and lay in the sun for a while.
There's a bit of a team approach to our garden. Mrs. P is a wonder with plants. She has a great eye for what should go where, and her green fingers have brought many a plant back to life. Most of our garden is cuttings, or freebies from other gardeners that were throwing a plant out.
Meanwhile I do the heavy stuff - hard lancscaping or digging plants out to move etc..
The piece of slate forming this water feature came from a slate mine in The Lakes. No idea what we would have paid for it in a garden centre but we paid £10 for this, and that included drilling it for us!
The mirror adds depth and was on our bathroom wall before we stuck it to this wall. Broken pots don't need to be thrown away, you just rearraange it as we have here.
