View from a Bath tub

This is the view from the towpath of the Kennet and Avon Canal towards Walcot and, on the horizon, Camden Crescent, and above the horizon, Lunar Crescent.

Venus is above Jupiter to the left of the Moon. The Moon is a little overexposed but it does bring out the Earthshine, sunlight reflected from our Earth that illuminates the part of the Earth-facing hemisphere of the Moon unlit by the Sun.

This part of the canal is lined with tubs, sorry long-ships, or narrow boats. Whatever. Must try to backblip the photograph of the narrow boat, the roof of which is exclusively devoted to a grass lawn... though it lacks that essential pottery gnome.

How the ducks see to land on the canal, I know not, but one impressed me sufficiently to pen this Haiku. They need to be careful, the section of canal further towards the city is dry, undergoing maintenance. That could make for an exciting final approach...
