Tiny delights

More and more new plants today with lots of ones we have seen before. Just when I think I know a few more names, new ones arrive to push the others out of my brain. We are mainly using Latin names but I have to keep track of a few common names as an aide memoire.

These seed pods are from a plant called medicargo scutellata. They are the way to work out which medicago you are looking at. We have seen a lot of intricate beauty on a very small scale.

Today's walk was in the fields on the hills behind the hotel. We had a free afternoon when I read, slept and generally relaxed.

Tomorrow we go to the Akrotiri area for birds and history.
