A beautiful warm sunny day, perfect for a walk around London. I joined some friends on section twelve and thirteen of the Capital Ring walk - from Highgate to Stoke Newington, and Stoke Newington to Hackney Wick.

Some of the highlights and unusual scenes: Parkland Walk along a former railway line; pen shop ghost signs on Church Street; lovely lunch in Stoke Newington; a lady with a turquoise bra over her face, doubling up as sunglasses, in Abney Park Cemetary; Lizzie's yummy flapjacks at Walthamstow Marshes; these dogs in a boat; and seeing the completed Orbit Tower and Olympic Stadium from the canalside.

I'm inspired to do the rest of the sections of the Capital Ring. You get a certificate - who's with me?!
