Amongst Giants

These unusually colored flowers greeted me today at the entrance to our local Arboretum. Their variegated petals included dark purple, brown, orange, yellow, red, pink, and green.

In my efforts to get a nice shot of the blooms, I inadvertently made them appear far larger than they were, yet dwarfed by the huge trees that loomed overhead.

It was a blustery, yet clear day here today in New Jersey, and I had a nice long fitness walk. It has grown quite chilly this evening, and we are expecting the temperature to fall below freezing tonight.

Sadly, my furnace just fired up, a reminder that after all, it is still March.
