strangers in a tunnel.............

........more like strangers walking into my shot.

so i did say there would be a brief round up of the first week at work so here goes.

mon-tues were training days and about as much use as a chocolate teapot. wednesday turned up to my branch only to be informed that they had decided to switch me to another one at a meeting they had about a month ago! nice of them to tell me, esp as i had to get up an hour earlier than i needed to. thurs-fri were a total waste of my time. 2 reasons for this, one they have not activated me on the system so i can't log on and two, even if i could i can't help as i haven't been trained and they are so short staffed that they can't take time out to show me............and again why show me if i can't log on?
so all in all a total farce and i have been offered an interview for something that is more interesting and pays a LOT more. typical now that i have started this one. so i also have to fit in a trip to the fire service recruitment/open day thing and one for this interview without pissing off the new employers but as they have done nothing but f**k me about for over 4 months now (that's how long it took to go through the recruitment process), i feel justified in looking elsewhere.

so today's blip. well i went of up by the thames to see the "thames festival" only to discover that i was a week early.typical! on the upside they were holding a street athletics competition at which i saw christine ohuruogu and darren campbell. not bad i suppose. it's not every day that you see two olympic gold medalists.

however i have had trouble posting the shot i wanted to. for some reason the exif data on the pic has jumped a day. don't know how that happened as the worst i've had so far is it just disappearing altogether. ah well something else to try and work out.
