Ntabaleng Sinah Mosehle

Sinah has worked for us since 1998. Her husband had worked on the mines for many years but was retrenched and she suddenly had to contribute to the young family's income. They were very well looked after whilst employed by the mine, but the situation changed instantly. No home, income, medical aid etc. She had also left home that particular morning with a very heavy heart and prayed a desperate prayer: "Please Father if you are really there, send me someone that will help me"

In the Winter of that year, we moved from Pretoria to Krugersdorp. As the last of the boxes and furniture were unloaded, I had found the kettle, but the coffee, sugar etc was still somewhere.....
I remember getting in the car to go source some sustenance, but I was 6 months pregnant with my youngest and prayed silently: " Please Father send me someone I can trust to help me unpack and get my life back on track"
I initially drove past the lonely figure walking down the street, but I turned back and asked: " Are you perhaps looking for work? Well she is still here.

Sadly, her sister died over the weekend. She had fetched her from Baragwanath Hospital on Friday She died late Sunday afternoon in Sinah presence after a short but intense battle with cancer. When I look at her hands I see unconditional love, hard work and dedication; a person with deep faith and integrity.
She will be leaving shortly to honor her sister for the last time - she will wash the body and dress her in her best clothes. She will then cook food (an enormous amount) to feed and thank the expected 1000 people that will came to pay their last respects. This is the tradition of the Sotho people as is most of the others too.

By the way: Sinah speaks 11 languages. Understands and can help herself in Portuguese and can read the Koran. She is a devoted Christian.
