The Claws

It was a long day, but sometimes long days are long because they are eventful. And evens can be pleasant. I started the day with (wait for it.....) economic breakfast. It kept on repeating itself on me till lunchtime. Or maybe it was just a sausage I tried and didn't eat. Anyway, it was good to see a few of my customers and listen to a tired economist about how a lot of the world is in recession and some even depression. I won't bore you with more details.

Work went fast and then off we went to a parent-teacher-student interview. Hanna run the show and we were happy to hear how well she was doing and that she was a pleasure to teach. Now we know who she takes after.

To complete this pleasant evening we had dinner in a local restaurant, sitting outside, enjoying warm autumnal evening. Some may not realise, but this is the most pleasant time of the year in Adelaide. It is warm, but windless, nights are cool and perfect for sleeping. The only drawback is that the clocks will go back next Sunday and it will be dark at 7pm.

I'd forgot to mention what the picture is showing. Main road in the suburb underwent some work and improvements and deteriorations. These claws belong to the last group. I haven't met a person who likes having them lying around pavements, these are not the only ones. During the day they look like a part of infrastructure that will be shortly installed underground and is temporarily lying on the ground. Rant over.
