Circus

A circus always reminds me of a postcard I once saw. It must have been early 20th century, 1920 or so and I think it had a circus on it. On the back someone had written: 'Le cirque Délire est parti, il n'y a donc plus d'espoir'
Since then I associate this romantic suffering with a circus and that sentence pops up in my mind each time I see one. Strange how memory works.
