Transformation!

Just eight days ago, on Monday 19 March, I published on Blipfoto a photograph of this Island in the Sun.

Meles, a distinguished contributor to Blipfoto, commented that there were clear signs of green showing on the trees, although my impression was that the scene was dominated by a golden glow from the sun.

I thought that it would be interesting to see how things have developed in view of the wonderful weather we have been having in the intervening period. There's truly a transformation in just over a week. Now, green is dominant, and almost all the trees are showing a good growth of leaves (and especially the willow).

For comparison, here is the island photographed from the opposite side. Because of the different sun angle (and this was earlier in the day, anyway) the leafiness is more apparent than ever.

Never mind Spring: it seems to be Summer already! I fear that we shall pay for this later on in the year...
