Whilst Haymarket is in many ways a complete fuckup at the moment the temporary contraflow in the usually-one-way Torphichen Place means I can combine my preferred escape route of Dewar Place (avoiding having to sneak into the queue joining the West Approach Road) with an airy (especially compared to the Cowgate) swing north up over Belford, through Comely Bank then along to Granton and back along the shore. I might try swinging north to approach through it one day this week just to see what it's like for these poor people stuck in their car things.
