Field trip

I worked from home today, with the windows open. When these kids went by, on their way to the Pavillon de l'eau on a class trip, I could hear them from my desk /dining room table.

I met K to have dinner and see a play tonight. The theatre, Theatre du Rond point, is very near the Champs-Elysées so we headed there for dinner. I've never been a fan of the C-É and even less now... the food was so-so but the worst was when K saw a mouse run across the floor of the restaurant, right near our table.

K's company and the play made the night. We saw Marie Nimier's La Confusion. The stage direction was very creative, to the point of overpowering the text and changing the emphasis of the play... stuffed animals were thrown at us, dog food was poured all over the floor and irons, dryers, vacuum cleaners, lipsticks and blue wigs figured prominently.
