Rock royalty hit Edinburgh this evening, no Madonna hasn't arrived early for her Murrayfield gig.

Joe Bonamassa, who? You might ask
Well the capacity crowd in The Usher Hall would be able to tell you just who Joe is.

He's a 34 year old blues and rock guitarist!

He's a genius on the guitar! His fingers move so quickly, I'm surprised they're not smoking.

He tells us that his thirteenth cd is due for release soon and that of all the songs he's written he's never had a hit, so far.
He gives us his guarantee that the new cd won't have any hits on it either! ;)

Joe then invites his girlfriend to join him on stage, the only woman he knows that cries during Braveheart, Ms Sandi Thom.

Yes the very same Ms Thom, who sang 'I Wish I Was A Punk-rocker, With Flowers In My Hair' which was a big hit for her.

She didn't sing it for us, instead she sang on a couple of songs from Joes new release.

Tonight was Joes night and hits or not, he rocked!

Got to meet both Joe and Sandi afterwards, Sandi will be back performing in the city in November, whether she invites her boyfriend on stage to join her, remains to be seen!
