Thank you Brenda
It's another blip of my pc screen I'm afraid. But today isn't about the photo
I received the sad news of a friend passing away this morning.
She was without doubt one of the best people you could ever wish to meet.
always cheerful, helpful beyond belief, supportive to everyone, a true friend.
And the most dignified, courageous and graceous Lady.
Nothing was ever too much trouble for Aunty Bren. Brenda took on the Wesham Road Runners Club Web Site and developed it into what it is today. And Brenda learned a whole new set of skills to do this.
And then there is the magazine - probably the best club magazine in the North of England.
Added to this, Brenda's unlimited love for her family and friends. Always there for others and always with love and kindness.
Brenda's overwhelming kindness was shown only last week on the day she was diagnosed. A club member sent her an email asking her to pass their best wishes on to me. Before Brenda went to see the doctor she forwarded the email to me. Unselfish and caring right to the last. That is Brenda Earnshaw.
I will think of Brenda when I carry the Olympic Flame, but I'd give it back for her to be with us now.
I didn't know Brenda for as long as others, but I am thankful that I do knew her. I am grateful for the times we shared; for many in this world they never got the oppoirtunity to meet Brenda.
To Peter and the family I offer my prayers and hope they comfort you.
To Aunty Brenda I say Thank You and God Bless.
With love from Brian xx
