Namhansanseong pt. 2
Today Joe and I went to Namhansanseong again. We walked on a foot massage terrain path which was interesting. I think it really healed my feet in a way. I walk so much here. We hiked up to a Buddhist temple. It was a nice experience. On the way back down, we stopped to work out a bit; I used community jump ropes and hula hoops, a spinny device, and a vertical sit-up/ hanging upside down contraption. Joe met this guy who was a total show-off. He told Joe to do push-ups ahaha, and then he showed Joe up by doing 40 push ups. ahaha. The men here are more friendly with other men. I don't really think it's as common for men and women to be friends here as it is in the US. So when the men are talking to Joe, the leave me out most of the time. Meh, I will have to fight my way through this male-driven country. It's only been 2 weeks, so maybe I'm wrong about everything.
Something that I respect so much about this way of life, is that everyone is outside on the weekend and everyone spends time with family. Father's and young daughters hiking and old couple hiking up the steep mountains. It's pretty nice. In the streets on weekdays, people don't seem to happy; I try smiling all the time, but it is rare that I get a smile in return. However, on weekends, everyone is a bit more friendly.
In other news, John McCain probably punches himself in the face every night for choosing Sarah Palin, the biggest imbecile in the world! I hope America wises up, and I mean quick. Listen friends, I really need you to vote. I know some of you think there's no difference, what's the point? But this MCCain/ Palin duo is one that must not materialize! I will be so mad if America let's this happen. Joe and I are working on our absentee ballots right now! I know you may not care about politics, but do it for me. Just vote for Obama.
