Ydy'r cathod o dan y bwrdd?
I'm going to Wales tomorrow for the first time ever and I believe if you go abroad, the least you can do is make the minimal effort to respect their culture so I got this book out of the university library and trying to get the gist of the language in time. It's a long train journey and the last thing I want is to be sitting next to someone trying to have a chat but just unable to communicate. Also learning how to ask for directions etc in case I get lost. The problem with the book is that it teaches the grammar but pronunciation is a bit trickier so I might have to just point at phrases which might make conversation difficult but it's better than nothing.
For those wondering, the title of this entry translates to 'Is the cat under the table?', which is one of the phrases the book teaches you just in case I find myself in the scenario that I am eating dinner in a house with a cat and I'm put in charge of looking after that cat, but I might have a bad back so won't be able to check underneath for myself to ensure the well being of that cat.
