Old steps

Until a couple of weeks ago this stone staircase, at the walled garden in the Penicuik Estate, was almost inpenetrable as it was completely overgrown and had at least one tree growing out of it. It's wonderful to be able to walk up it now and it makes it easier to imagine what the old gardens were like. Someone has been working very hard!
