Morning broke cold.
The eagle-eyed will spot the change of camera. I await the dust-bunny extermination kit, the photographic equivalent of myxomatosis.
This camera is an act of desperation on a desperate day. I thought it wise to clean condensation off the car's side window by lowering it and raising it. Except that it didn't rise. And so, I had an hour's drive, through the highlands, through mist, in temperatures ranging from -1? to +1? with the window down. You could call it invigorating, even character building. I'd call it bloody cold! I thawed out by lunch time.
Oh, the blip? Sorry. This was one taken on the journey. Did I tell you about the journey?
I'm quite happy with what was a very quick attempt with an unfamiliar small camera. I love those old poster shots of the misty outlines of hills, stacked into the distance. I also like the way that the sun truly penetrates the trees, and reveals them to the very tips of the finest, fragile twiglet.
Now, if you will excuse me, I need to go and clear out the car and board up the open window for the night. Did I tell you about....
Sorry.
