Vanilla icing

Today we visited friends after school, their baby was due last week so the poor thing was having full on tightening contractions whilst we were there! We were a good distraction for her and her son :)

The cakes are our first attempt at flavouring icing with something other than cocoa - vanilla essence was the flavour of choice. If I say so myself they are pretty good! These are for the easter cake comp at school. Not very eastery but we like them!
