Here we go ...

Saturday, the long awaited Bealach cycle ride ... for me revisiting the scene of the broken collar bone 18 months previous ... and double the distance to 90 miles (9,600 vertical feet of ascent).

LuckyJim, Le Rand and I all got round ... Jim claiming the polka dot jersey for fastest time up the main climb, I claimed the green points jersey for time in the breakaway and Le Rand our GC rider and most consistent.

The weather was kind, we had a great day - total ride time of 5hrs 33 mins. There was a great atmosphere in the peleton especially with the Lomond Roads CC. Also a special thanks to the marshalls and the enthusiastic helpers filling water bottles and offering tray bakes around the course.
