Slightly shrivelled...........

Here we are in Spring, everything around the garden is budding and that includes the Mountain Ash these former berries are still clinging onto.
Considering that there were hundreds of berries on this tree at the start of Autumn last year, this little cluster are the only ones left hanging, the majority went to feeding birds, with a few falling to ground.
As you read this, this little cluster are now residing on the compost heap along with White and Red berries from our Cottoneasters and Hollies, these other berries are still in almost perfect condition, this is almost certainly due to the fact that the Cottoneaster and Holly are evergreens.

Bigger and more shrivelled berries.......!!
