Her story has been told in the movie Soul Surfer - and if you've not watched it, you really must.

Bethany's arm was bitten off by a shark while she was out surfing at her home in Hawaii when she was only a teenager. in spite of this, she still rose to become a pro surfer. Anyone who has paddled a surfboard will realise how utterly incredible a feat that is.

i was sooo excited to see her at the Australian Open of Surfing in Manly today.
