Some machines make a noise, a familiar one, one that makes you feel at home, at peace, or just comfortable.

My love says it of my hairdryer, a constant whirlwind of hot disruption, for me it's the slow building dropping of a needle, like an engine she drives with precision and attention, controlling our speed by ear, a more enjoyable journey than those you could take in your vehicle, a labour of love and process of creation.
