Honesty boxes.......

Along many of the Guernsey roads you see flowers, fruit, veg etc for sale on the hedges. I love the thought that we can still do this on our lovely Island and feel fairly safe that people will be honest in paying for what they take. The money is usually left in an old cash tin - locked and secured to a block or weighted down in some way, for others the money is put through the letter box! There is one bucket of flowers on a roadside by no houses and just a jar at the side for the money. I hope things won't change. It's these sort of things that make Guernsey the unique and lovely place that it is!
