Older dancers put in creche!

Ouch!....we have been demoted to the creche. Our small group of older dancers ( lets not be too specific about age) had our class today in the Macrobert creche not the adjoining dance studio.

Does it matter? well, yes, our "older knees" don't really like making mini leaps on slippery floors especially ones that are not sprung for dancing.

That said resident dance artist Laura Smith tailors her programme exactly to our needs knowing when to stop before we get too puffed and allows us to have short breaks for the obligatory bottles of water which we all carry.

The class has give me a new appreciation of dance. Now I begin to understand and appreciate just how difficult those those dance routines are that we see on "Strictly Come Dancing".

And I am still trying to fathom out how you get your arms to do one thing and your legs another.
