Craigmillar Castle Gate

A few days in Edinburgh doing my remaining part time job as examiner for Scottish Qualifications Authority ( SQA ). Took a stroll to see Craigmillar Castle which is a fine ruined fortress once a favourite of Mary Queen of Scots. It contrasts with the white modern buildings of the new Edinburgh Royal Infirmary which lies below it. I liked the shadows of this gate in the late afternoon sun
