In other news, the magic socks continued their inexorable juggernaut-like progress. And Our Hero froze on the way to work, and cooked on the way home.
And finally, in a new feature which I have called "Yesterday's New Yorker Cartoon Calendar's Cartoon in Words", here is yesterday's New Yorker cartoon Calendar's cartoon in words. I had to type this for Reasons so might as well get VFM.
