I am Zorro!!!
After a powerful 5000m swim this morning as I woke up in pain again, since I got knocked off the bike I wake up with pain, I felt better but little did I know what would happen next. My phone rang...and I ll start with the moral of the story first!
...the moral of today's story is, that those legs that were made for running will never let you down, but cars will...even the newest and super technologically equipped. A beautiful tempo run in that story on my way to rescue my Mrs that her car broke down and she was hysterical over the phone. I had the option of cycling or running but I chose running just to try the legs. Anyway back to the tempo run...6.3 miles in my VIbram sprints took me to Mrs in 43:47 with a stop to snap a photo of my horsie friend that said hello to me and reminded me I went out the house in my speedos that I thought were my running tights as they dried on the process of me making my breakfast!!! What was I thinking...was I racing or I just wanted to solve the mystery? I think the dress code of the 'I am Zorro horse' and me in my speedos could be something out of a super hero comic!!
Anyway mystery solved and the dealer will have to answer a few question regarding flat batteries on a brand new car... So forget the cars...Run Run
And on the run note...I haven't managed to get a good blip last night after the strength session on Ilkley moor, I did try to take a photo of the moon and Venus reflecting on the tarn but didn't like it. It felt amazing though, coming down to Ilkley from the moor this girl came up to me and said 'Aren't you the barefoot runner we saw last night?' I replied yes the one that was carrying his shoes haha...and she said that recognised me from my bandana and...got an invite to join them next time I run past for a glass of wine. It was another Magic day in Yorkshire!
And yes I ran barefoot on the roads of Ben Rhyding and Ilkley! :-)
