Hector's House

We've finished cataloguing the travel books in The Neville Hoskins Reading Room and now we're up in the attics with the proper dusty old stuff: epic double-volume memoirs of obscure eighteenth century characters, tied together to keep the covers on (or at least nearby...), leaving little rusty piles of dessicated leather on the table where you open them, but full of treasure inside - beautiful plates, thick crisp leaves almost embossed with woodcuts, fabulous marbled Italian endpapers... you never know quite what to expect!
